The Washington Post increased its attacks on Social Security over the weekend. One article stated how Social Security's disability program is "pushing the financially strapped system toward the brink of insolvency," while an op-ed by Eric Cantor blamed lack of economic growth on "unsustainable entitlement commitments." Over at Beat the Press, Dean Baker picked apart eachpiece. In a recent column, Dean asked "Why Is President Obama So Anxious to Cut Social Security?" We're starting to wonder the same thing about the Post.
