The Washington Postwants you to know that Republicans want to do something about those "soaring Social Security and Medicare costs" — except the Republicans didn't actually say that. If they had, it would have been a direct quote. But as Dean Baker points out over at Beat the Press, that's the Post's language. Do we really need to go over the difference between attribution and editorializing again?
