This one-day event brought together scholars, politicians, and filmmakers from across the political spectrum to consider the challenges, liabilities, and potential of the government of Venezuela under the leadership of President Hugo Chávez.

CEPR Co-director Mark Weisbrot talked about Venezuelan domestic policy. The discussion was moderated by Gil Joseph (Yale University) and included Sujatha Fernandes (Queens College, CUNY) and Francisco Rodriguez (Wesleyan University).
