The National Association of Manufacturers released its third quarter Manufacturers’ Outlook Survey in late September. Business outlook, not surprisingly, has dropped more since Q2. “Trade uncertainties,” which didn’t exist as a response option in the survey prior to 2018, has grown as one of the largest concerns for manufacturing employers, from 56 percent in Q2 to 63.4 percent in Q3.
