Trump placed the revitalization of manufacturing at the center of his presidential campaign, but members of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) are losing optimism. In today’s Blue Collar Jobs Tracker commentary, Matt Sedlar reports on a recent uptick in pessimism among NAM members, as shown in the results of their quarterly survey.
The recent survey also shows NAM members rank “trade uncertainties” as one of the “biggest challenges” they face.
“You know things are bad when your trade policies are added as a possible response to a question about issues employers are worried about,” writes Sedlar.
