CEPR Co-Director Mark Weisbrot participated in a discussion with Luis Arce, the Republic of Bolivia’s minister of finance, on the country’s economic growth over the last four years.

The event examined the policies of the Morales government and how they have helped generate greater economic prosperity for Bolivians. The panelists also discussed the future economic challenges that lie ahead, and Minister Arce talked specifically about plans to boost public sector spending while simultaneously increasing the level of international investment. The event was sponsored by the Center for Economic and Policy Research and the George Washington University’s Latin American and Hemispheric Studies.
