IMF Surcharges: Data Dashboard
IMF surcharges are additional payments, on top of regular payments and fees, that countries are required to pay to the fund if they have high levels of IMF debt (exceeding 18.75 percent of their quota share at the IMF), or if they have three or more years of outstanding debt to the IMF.
Use this dashboard to view the countries currently paying surcharges, and their expected payments over the next ten years as estimated by the Center for Economic Policy and Research. Scroll down to view historical data and payments per country in previous years (2004-2023).
