Renée Perez is the international program intern at the Center for Economic and Policy Research.
She holds a double BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of South Florida. She will be working towards a Master of Global Affairs with a concentration in Sustainable Development at the University of Notre Dame starting in Fall 2022. She also volunteers as a malaria elimination advocate at the UN Foundation’s United to Beat Malaria Campaign.
Renée spent her childhood moving back and forth between Venezuela and the United States. Witnessing vast disparities from a young age sparked her desire to bring about a fairer world. She is particularly interested in shifting Latin America’s economic development priorities, such that success is not measured by GDP growth or the presence of multinationals, but the quality of life guaranteed to all people.
