CEPR Co-Director Dean Baker participated in a hearing before the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs to discuss the future of the U.S. Postal Service. Other participants included Frederic V. Rolando, president of the National Association of Letter Carriers, AFL-CIO; John F. Hegarty, president of the National Postal Mail Handlers Union; Robert J. Rapoza, president of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States; and Douglas J. Holtz-Eakin, Ph.D., president of the American Action Forum.
