John Schmitt is Senior Economist and Senior Adviser at the Economic Policy Institute. He was formerly a Senior Economist with CEPR and Vice President of the Economic Policy Institute.
John has written extensively on unemployment, economic inequality, US/Europe labor economic performance and the welfare state.
He holds a B.A. in International Affairs from Princeton University and an M.Sc. and Ph.D. in economics from the London School of Economics.
