Sunday July 24 marked the second anniversary of the most recent increase in the minimum wage. This increase was one of the most important legislative achievements of the last decade for low-wage workers, giving millions of hardworking Americans a raise and helping low-income families make ends meet. The National Employment Law Project, Economic Policy Institute, Lake Research Partners and the Center for Economic and Policy Research conducted a briefing highlighting recent research and public opinions demonstrating the continued economic benefits and strong popularity of the minimum wage. CEPR Co-Director Dean Baker moderated.
