Washington, DC — Last month, the Blue Collar Jobs Tracker reported on the surprise growth in manufacturing jobs. But today’s report shows that July’s preliminary count of 16,000 new manufacturing jobs was revised down substantially to just 4,000.
The Center for Economic and Policy Research will be taking a focused look at the manufacturing job numbers in our analysis of the monthly jobs data on Friday.
