She holds a BA in Economics from New College of Florida and just completed her second year as a PhD student at the University of Rochester. Her current research interests include; incarceration, gentrification and neighborhood change, and ethical research practices. Julia feels strongly that economic research without social action and consideration for public policy is incomplete. With this in mind Julia is excited to join CEPR and explore public policy interventions motivated by empirical economic research.
