Ever since the 2010 earthquake that devastated Haiti, Jake Johnston, CEPR’s Director of International Research, has tracked multinational aid efforts in Haiti with an eye to ensuring they are oriented toward the needs of the Haitian people — and not used to undermine Haitians’ right to self-determination.
It is extremely rare for a full-length English language book about Haiti to be made available in the language spoken by the vast majority of Haitians. Jake has secured the Kreyòl rights from the book’s publisher, Macmillan, allowing both the print and audio versions to be distributed completely free of charge.
