To Apply: Send the following, in a single PDF file, to apply[at]cepr.net with the subject line “Fall 2019 Domestic Program Intern”:
1. a cover letter;
2. a résumé, and;
3. a response to the following writing prompt (400 to 600 words):
“There has been a lot of discussion around the ‘gig economy’ and companies such as Uber and TaskRabbit. Some commentators argue that this is a huge development and most workers soon will not have an employer. They argue that the United States needs to define a new category of worker that would not be covered by current employment laws. Do you agree or disagree with this assessment of the gig economy? What do you see as the advantages and disadvantages of adding such a new category of worker?”
