Alex holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and economics from Wesleyan University. He is working towards a master’s degree in economics at John Jay College in the City University of New York system. For his graduate studies, Alex is currently researching the discontinuities of twentieth century debates around price regulations, as well as the distributional effects of the 2017 TCJA legislation. Prior to working at CEPR, Alex worked with energy assistance programs, conducting impact evaluations and survey research to improve the effectuality of these programs. Outside of CEPR, Alex works with high schoolers on SAT prep. He enjoys stir-fry cooking, cinemagoing, and seeing live music.
