Tamara is currently working towards her Master’s in Economics at The New School for Social Research. She received her Bachelor’s in Economics with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. While working in the corporate world, Tamara has been a volunteer and board member of Community Tax Aid NYC, an organization that provides advocacy and tax services for low income people for over 15 years. She’s interested in political economy and the role of the state when the market fails to provide basic needs for its citizens. During her internship Tamara is excited to contribute to CEPR’s stated mission of increasing democratic debate and public discourse to promote a fairer economy through research and education.
