Victoria (they/she) holds a master’s degree in sociology from Ohio State University, where they are currently pursuing their PhD. Her research focuses on political economies of care as a driver of social and economic inequality, specifically role of governments in determining responsibility and resource allocation to meet societal care needs across the life course. Prior to graduate school, Victoria served as a Legislative Director in the Maryland House of Delegates, working on progressive legislation such as paid family and medical leave insurance, expanding the child tax credit, and closing corporate tax loopholes. Her work in state politics is complimented by grassroots organizing experience in professional and volunteer capacities. When they aren’t knee-deep in data or google scholar, Victoria can be found thrifting, baking, or swimming.
